Vapour steam heat exchanger, VHE
The VHE (vapour steam heat exchanger) is a horizontally aligned pipe bundle heat exchanger, especially to be used for heat usage from vapour steam at the bleeding fitting of the condensate vessel.
The VHE has a primary flow for vapour steam and a secondary flow for water to be heated (example). A pump is required to feed the medium to be heated and possibly an auxiliary storage vessel.
The standard heat exchanger is designed for a heat transfer of up to 25 kW. The housing (jacket) and the pipe bundle are made from stainless steel.
