Waste separator, WS
For improved steam quality and prevention of premature thickening of the boiler water, waste separators (WS) are used.
These separate possible water drops containing aggressive salts, which must be introduced directly into the waste water.
This diversion can be done using a conductivity monitoring and controlling process, which is fairly expensive for small steam systems with little output volume (approx 1,500.- €).
If a Jumag steam distributor or a Jumag pressure reducer station is or will be used, no WS is required, since removal can be done through these components.
